INGREDIENTS for the two sheets

  • 5 tablespoons cocoa
  • 2 sachets of vanilla sugar
  • 1 sachet of baking powder
  • 50 ml milk
  • 270 ml oil
  • 1 pinch of salt (for whipping the egg whites)
  • 1 1/2 can DeLatte milk cream (sweetened condensed milk)
  • 600 ml whipped cream
  • 150 ml of milk
  • 1 1/2 sachets of gelatin (15 gr)

  1. prepare the sheets (top). Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Mix the yolks with the sugar and vanilla sugar until the mixture becomes a thick cream. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt.
  2. Add to the yolk cream, one by one, the flour mixed with the baking powder. Stir with a whisk, then sprinkle with cocoa, gray. We incorporate the milk and gradually the oil.

  6. Pour in the condensed milk mixture. It is easily incorporated with a wooden spoon in whipped cream.

Surely everyone knows the most successful cake of Laura Laurentiu who had the inspiration and goodwill to translate the recipe to the joy of the culinary blogosphere. I first tested it a year and a half ago because then I discovered it and then it became one of our favorites. Kinder pingui cake is definitely a delight, everyone likes it and that's why I chose it to participate in the BLOGGOSPODINA contest.


Method of preparation:

For the top, separate the eggs, beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt and mix the yolks at high speed for a few minutes together with the sugar and vanilla sugar until the composition becomes creamy and dense.

Over the yolks, add the flour, baking powder, semolina, cocoa, mixing lightly, then the milk, oil and honey. At the end, lightly incorporate the beaten egg whites with movements from the bottom up so that the composition remains aerated.

The final composition is quite liquid but some fluffy countertops will come out. Divide the composition in two (ideally we should have two identical trays). I put them in two pots, so I managed to bake two roughly equal countertops. I baked for 15 minutes over medium heat (12-13 min at 175 degrees).

After they are baked, let them cool without removing the baking paper.

In the meantime, I prepared the glazes. Icing 1: mix all the ingredients on the fire until they melt without boiling them. Icing 2 is prepared identically from the specified ingredients.

I put this composition in the form over roasted and ground walnuts, and I baked it at 170 gr for about 35-40 minutes depending on the oven of each one. When it was baked, I turned the countertop upside down and greased it with 200 gr Finetti. Grandma is 89 years old and eats healthy, so I made a vanilla cream.

I boiled the milk in the meantime
I mixed the yolks with the sugar, I incorporated the flour, after which I gradually added the boiled milk and vanilla. I put it back on low heat until it thickens. After cooling, I incorporated it in 200 gr of beaten butter and kept it at room temperature. I divided this cream in two. On one side I left it yellow and on the other I added a grated spoon of Finetti and 50 gr ground walnuts.
I made the assembly like this: countertop, yellow cream, brown cream and grated chocolate or chocolate flakes. I left it in the fridge before serving.
I love the taste of this cake and not just me!

The penguin cake is the homemade version of the well-known children's dessert, Kinder pingui. Therefore it can only be a marvel of sweetness! Cocoa top, honey-flavored whipped cream, chocolate icing. Everything that can be better, more appetizing and more loved in one gulp. Mmmmm, perfect & # 8230

It takes a long time to prepare. It needs time to harden the cream, to harden the intermediate glaze, etc. So the 80 minutes total time is the actual working time. Without waiting and cooling.

For starters we will prepare the countertop. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt. Separately, beat the egg yolks with the sugar, then gradually add the sifted wheat flour with baking powder, cocoa and water. Mix everything well, then add the beaten egg whites.

Put the dough obtained in a round tray (23 cm) lined with baking paper, and bake for about 30 minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees.Let the countertop cool and cut it horizontally into 2 equal parts.

To prepare the inner icing, put sweet cream and broken chocolate in pieces in a pan to melt. Stir, then let the icing cool.

Soak the gelatin in water and set aside for 10 minutes. Beat the sweet cream with the sugar and honey. Heat the gelatin to dissolve (do not let it boil), then add 3 tablespoons of whipped sweet cream and then pour all the gelatin into this sweet cream mixture. Pour 5 tablespoons of milk over the first counter and add half of the cream with honey. Then add the icing. Put the cake in the fridge for 10 minutes, during which time the icing will harden.

Then add the rest of the cream and cover it with the second top. Syrup the top with the rest of the milk. Put the cake in the freezer for an hour.Melt the chocolate with the oil and margarine in a bain-marie. Pour the icing obtained over the whole cake. We decorate the cake as we like.
