Bartender Chris Cheng of Westroot Tavern in San Diego professes a distaste for puns but couldn’t resist employing one for this decadent made with horchata vodka and cold-brew coffee. And as his city is home to an installment of the world’s biggest fantasy fest, Comic-Con, it’s only fitting that he’s ready to whip out a few George Lucas–loving cocktails faster than a nimble little Grand Master Yoda employs a lightsaber.

  • 1 1/2 oz Cutwater Fugu horchata vodka
  • 2 oz Cold-brew coffee*
  • 1/2 oz Half-and-half
  • 1/4 oz Giffard white crème de cacao liqueur
  • 1/2 oz Simple syrup
  • Garnish: Cinnamon sugar
  1. Add all the ingredients into a shaker and dry-shake (without ice) for 5 seconds.

  2. Add ice, and shake again until well-chilled.

  3. Strain into a Collins glass over fresh ice.

  4. Garnish with 1 pinch of cinnamon sugar.
