Would you hire a food truck to cater your big day?
If you're the type of gal or guy who really wants some Mexican-Korean fusion or some souvlaki served up on your big day, good news.
Apparently, food trucks are turning to catering in order to bring in extra money, doing company parties, birthdays, and even weddings.
"If I offered any truck that they'd never have to be on the street again and they only had to do catering, every single one would do it," Matt Geller, co-founder and CEO of the Southern California Mobile Food Vendors Association, told NPR.
Apparently Roy Choi's Kogi bbq truck is among the wedding caterers, with events making up 30 percent of his business. In the meantime, event planners say that hiring a food truck could give your wedding a special, casual feel (meaning you can now pull off that Williamsburg hipster wedding you've been dreaming of).
